Reuben Wildes was born in 1824 and moved with his parents, Maxey Millan and Elizabeth Wilkinson Wildes, from Tattnall to Ware County, Georgia.  The spelling of Reuben’s name is Reuben Wilds on the military record for the 451st dist.  Company GM in 1849, p225 History of Ware County Georgia, by Laura S. Nancy Eliza Smith born in 1835, the daughter of Austin and Polly Hall Smith of Waresboro, Georgia, became his wife.  She died October 26, 1887.  He died April 6, 1900, and it is thought that he is buried in the Waresboro Cemetery.  It is assumed that all of their children were born in Ware County.
